1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Alignzo ("the Platform," "Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Alignzo.

2. Description of Service

Alignzo is an anonymous hiring platform that connects candidates and employers based on skills, experience, culture fit, and other professional criteria. The Platform uses AI technology to analyze resumes, calculate alignment scores, and facilitate matches while maintaining anonymity until both parties consent to reveal their identities.

3. Eligibility

To use Alignzo, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
• Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws

4. User Accounts

4.1 Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update this information as necessary.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach.

4.3 Account Types

• Candidates: Individuals seeking employment opportunities
• Employers: Organizations or individuals seeking to hire talent

5. User Conduct and Obligations

5.1 Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Platform
• Attempt to circumvent the anonymous matching system
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Upload malicious software, viruses, or harmful code
• Violate intellectual property rights
• Engage in any unlawful or discriminatory practices
• Spam or send unsolicited communications

5.2 Content Standards

All content you submit (resumes, job descriptions, profiles) must:

• Be accurate and truthful
• Not violate any third-party rights
• Not contain discriminatory, offensive, or illegal content
• Comply with applicable employment and data protection laws

6. Anonymous Matching System

6.1 Anonymity

Your identifying information remains anonymous until both you and a matched party mutually agree to reveal identities. We assign anonymous IDs to all profiles.

6.2 Identity Reveal

When both parties in a match request identity reveal, contact information is shared. By requesting reveal, you consent to sharing your information with the matched party.

6.3 Matching Algorithm

Alignzo uses proprietary algorithms to calculate alignment scores. We do not guarantee specific match results or employment outcomes. Matches are suggestions based on data provided.

7. AI Technology and Data Processing

By uploading a resume or other documents, you consent to AI analysis to extract skills, certifications, and achievements. This analysis improves matching accuracy but is not infallible. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming AI-generated insights.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Platform Ownership

All rights, title, and interest in the Platform, including software, algorithms, designs, trademarks, and content, are owned by Alignzo. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer any part of the Platform.

8.2 User Content License

By submitting content, you grant Alignzo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display your content solely for providing and improving the Service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
• Guarantees of employment or hiring outcomes
• Accuracy of AI-generated insights or alignment scores
• Uninterrupted or error-free service

Alignzo does not verify the accuracy of user-submitted information and is not responsible for false or misleading profiles.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALIGNZO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Damages arising from user interactions or employment decisions
• Third-party conduct or content

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, or $100, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Alignzo and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Content you submit to the Platform

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Prolonged inactivity
• Any reason at our sole discretion

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, certain provisions (including indemnification and limitation of liability) survive.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through:

• Good faith negotiation
• Binding arbitration if negotiation fails
• Courts of competent jurisdiction in the Province of Ontario, Canada for non-arbitrable matters

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or platform notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Miscellaneous

15.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Alignzo.

15.2 Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

15.3 Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

15.4 Assignment

You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

16. Subscriptions and Billing

16.1 Free Tier

Alignzo offers a Free tier with limited features, including 5 matches per month, basic AI resume analysis, and core alignment matching. No credit card is required to use the Free tier.

16.2 Pro Plan

The Pro plan is a paid subscription that unlocks unlimited matches, AI career coaching, daily AI recommendations, 300 market insight queries per month, direct messaging after identity reveal, and advanced match analytics. Pro is billed monthly in CAD and can be cancelled at any time through the subscription management portal.

16.3 Enterprise Plan

The Enterprise plan is available by contacting our sales team. Pricing and features are customized based on organizational needs.

16.4 Referral Program

Users can earn Pro plan access for free through our referral program. When referred users sign up and complete their profile (60%+ completion), the referrer unlocks rewards: 5 completed referrals = 1 month of Pro free, 15 = 3 months free, 50 = 1 year free. Referral rewards are applied automatically and may expire if the promotional period ends. We reserve the right to modify or terminate the referral program at any time.

16.5 Billing and Cancellation

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through our payment processor (Stripe). You can cancel your subscription at any time through the subscription management portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. Bonus matches and promotional plan upgrades from referrals expire after 30 days unless otherwise specified.
